Lovers of used books: The Carrboro, NC PTA shop is having a massive clearance sale through Saturday, 25-50 cents per book. They've got a whole lotta books that aren't even worth that, but it's still worth it to poke around for treasures.

Lovers of used stuff in general: both the Carrboro and Chapel Hill locations of the PTA thrift shops are having a bag-day clearance sale on Saturday, starting at 8:30 a.m., $3/paper grocery bag.

That's all I have to say right now. Grading exams and response papers has sucked the will and capacity for coherent thought right out of my head. (Not that the exams themselves lack coherent thought; it's just that grading is draining. In fact, it is one of 563 Stupid Things People Do To Mess Up Their Lives (p. 51). Dr. Larry says so, so it must be true.)
