Alas, not nothing
The check engine light was indicating a faulty oxygen sensor. On the downside, it's gonna cost more than $75. On the upside, it's not going to cost more than I can afford, and I'll be out of here by noon. Ah, the joys of owning a high-mileage vehicle.
