Cataract Surgery

GrandDad's getting the cloudiness in his right eye repaired on Tuesday morning. He opted to shell out the big bucks for the astigmatism-correcting intraocular lens, which means that he may only need glasses for reading after all is said and done. We started the pre-op regimen of eye drops yesterday. I have to drive him to and from the out-patient surgicenter, and he's got to wear a protective patch to bed for a couple of weeks, but generally they say that he should be back to normal activity almost immediately.

I hope his improved vision doesn't make him disappointed in his housekeeper.
